Lt. Gov. Glenn McConnell will be the host.
Magee won a $1,000 scholarship, and his adviser, Amy Medlock-Greene, received $250.
The competition is funded by the Office on Aging (S.C. Lt. Govenor’s Office) and the Central Carolina Community Foundation.
The purpose of the competition is to reward good journalism that crosses generations. BG TIME stands for Bridging Generations through Technology, Information, Media and Engagement.
The program will be aired live at 9:30 a.m. on ETV World, Channel 172 in the Columbia area.
