Several students and staff had an experience that will certainly extend the curriculum for Dutch Fork High. Recently at the
Richland County Public Library, Dutch Fork High students, members of the Silver Screen Report, and staff members had the opportunity to listen to
Chris Crutcher! He is one of the most successful -- and most frequently banned -- authors of realistic fiction in the Young Adult industry, with 11 novels, two short story collections and one autobiography to his credit. His writing features
teens coping with serious problems across a variety of topics. There were also two very eloquent high school students who spoke about their experiences with books and shared their thoughts on banning books.
An awesome experience for our students and staff!
